[лат. immunis — свободный, избавленный от чего-либо и греч. logos — слово, учение; лат. tolerantia — терпение]состояние иммунной системы организма, при котором отсутствует иммунный ответ на антиген (в норме такой ответ вызывающий) или имеет место его резкая ослабленность; может быть индуцирована на различных (чаще ранних) этапах онтогенеза. Один из механизмов И.т. — иммуносупрессия (см. иммуносупрессия); также И.т. — негативная форма иммунологической памяти (см. иммунологическая память).Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
